"The girls are agreeing to it. They're getting money," she said.
That was the part that Faith had the most problem with. She knew there were lots of dumbass Twilight fans out there who had the wrong idea about what vampires were really like. Faith knew them as the violent soulless animals that they really were. With the exception of Angel of course. And maybe Spike. Maybe.
She just couldn't understand why any of them would take money for their blood. She reasonably understood that some people sold their blood to blood banks and supposedly getting bitten by a vamp felt better. Faith wouldn't know. The only vampire who got his fangs in her was Angelus and he hadn't exactly been gentle about it, that and she was drugged up to the fucking eyeballs on Orpheus.
Either way, she wasn't really sure what to do about it but Gunn seemed keen to go right in and start taking them out. The Slayer part of Faith wanted the same thing but she also didn't want to take away money from these girls. It drove Faith nuts because she made tnos of money at the club but not everyone was as coordinated as her. A lot of the girls were on drugs which made dancing even harder for them. And Golden Banana was a rip off like most strip joints and practically robbed their dancers. They were treated more like contractors than employees and at the end of the night they had to pony up the fee to the club that allowed them to dance there. Some of the girls went home totally empty handed at the end of the night but they got their blow or heroin or whatever so they were cool. Faith hated it.
"I don't think the vamps are in a nest. They're just guys, they come into the club and they want something and they got money so the girls give it up. I don't trust security to take care of it."
Her eyes flickered over to him. "What do you do for work? Feel like taking on an extra assignment? I say we take these guys out at a time, bring 'em out back and kill them. I'll spread the word that I'm interested in sellin' my blood too. Maybe that'll draw some more of them in. We take 'em out one by one unless you got a better idea."
She was actually curious because from the little time she spent with Gunn, she found him to be extremely capable. If he wasn't, she wouldn't be sharing this information with him. She should have been sharing it with Buffy but fuck that. She was tired of playing Slayer Number Two.
