Salem did have a habit of throwing out challenges and changes without giving much warning -- even Loki could attest to that, although he'd yet to come across anything that had actually concerned him beyond being trapped here in general. Perhaps it was because he wasn't an especially selfless person and so gave little care for others who randomly disappeared or were kidnapped. Although he did have to admit that he would probably care once any kind of danger came closer to the circle of people he chose to be around (even if those people were quite self reliant -- it would be more amusing than worrying to see Thor get himself into any spot of trouble).
"The witches, probably," He responded, even though he was well aware that the question had not been directed at him. Didn't matter, anything said allowed (or implied between the lines) was fair game. "And if they did build it --" Which really, who else would have? He didn't think anyone around beyond that weird little preteen Runaway had any interest in horticulture. "--I suspect there's not much of a reward waiting in there." He didn't, however, seem particularly bothered by that notion. If anything, Loki looked a little more interested than before.
As she hoped back down to the ground, Loki leaned forward a little in order to watch her enter the maze, and then offered a dazzlingly crooked sort of smile when she asked if he was coming as well (as if he wouldn't have, even without an invitation). "Well," he said, teleporting to stand next to her instead of bothering to jump down himself. "I suppose my night was free."
He didn't even really wait for a reaction before moving further into the tall shrubbery. It was dark, but there were ways around that. "Don't suppose you can turn that glow back on?" Not that he didn't have magic for this as well, but why do himself what he could make others do?
