Al hugged Winry more gently than he had Ed, but he was just as happy to see her. In his mind, he had seen her a couple hours ago, but he was getting the feeling a lot of time had passed for her too from what she said. He immediately felt so much better having both his brother and his closest friend here. They could overcome anything together, right?
"Witches?! That's not real. Right? Do they do alchemy? Alkahestry?" Everything about this was mind blowing. It broke his heart to think of Ed trapped here for months alone. That sounded terrible. He looked Ed over more carefully after that statement, wondering if that's why he looked more worn now?
When Ed said they should sit, he went and sat in the middle of the sofa, wanting to be close to both of them. It was a big couch, it should fit all three of them. Al took the excuse to sit close enough to touch Ed in the process, reassuring himself that this was real, and Ed really was here. Al would have to try to take care of him, especially if he'd been here alone for so long before Winry came.
"There's so much I want to know, I'm not sure where to start." He glanced at Winry, then Ed again. "Are we from different time points in our own time? Since we were brought here at different times? What have you two been doing? I saw on the little electronic phone that I am a student now? What am I supposed to study?"
