Lydia was happy to hug Allison and kind of didn't want to let her go. She looked at Alex and then looked back at Allison, clearly disgusted. They didn't know this girl from Adam and maybe she was poisoning her or something. Lydia had no reason to trust her. Maybe it was also partly jealousy, like why was Allison hanging out with this...girl when she could be hanging out with her?
"Hi Alice, is it?" Lydia asked, setting Prada on the floor so he could look around. She planned on bringing him here a lot. She was definitely paying more attention to Prada than this girl who was having dinner with her best friend. Could Lydia really be blamed for this when she had lost Allison once? No, this other girl had to go.
"It's Alex...actually." Alex replied, timidly. She didn't like Lydia's tone and it made her kind of uncomfortable. She didn't mind the dog or anything, but the vibe she was getting from Lydia was that the other girl didn't want her around.
"Whatever," Lydia said dismissively, not even looking at her. "Thanks sweetie, but we've got it from here. You can go now and um..." She waved at the food. "Take whatever that is with you."
Now Alex was definitely uncomfortable and she stood up to leave. She could tell when she wasn't wanted, and Lydia definitely didn't want her around. "Well, I'll leave you to it then." She gave Allison a half hearted smile and started to gather her things.
