"Thank you" Allison mouthed in Lydia's direction. She would have to remember next time to be more specific with Lydia. It was easy for Allison to fall back into a rhythm with Lydia but she understood that it might be more difficult for Lydia considering the way they parted. Lydia had felt Allison's death, actually felt it and Allison couldn't even imagine what that must have been like.
The three of them sat down at the table and began to pass the food around.
"The biggest thing is alcohol. I'm not sure how we can get that. I have some money we can use but we need to think about decorations, DJ and everything else. I was going to ask O'Neills if they would throw the DJ in with the venue rental. You can talk to one of the restaurants. Alex, I feel bad since you don't even drink but do you want to try and figure out the alcohol? Maybe Stefan can help."
Allison raised her dark eyes to meet Alex's across the table.
"I don't hate him if that's what you think. I know he's staying away from this party because I'm involved. There's going to be a lot of things the three of us are involved with. He needs to get over his anger towards me and I am willing to work with him on it."
Allison wasn't exactly happy about that part but she genuinely thought Stefan was being a bit of a drama queen. He drank his blood and she hunted monsters. As long as he continued to eat animals, she was fine with him and had told him as much. But she didn't approve of compulsion and would never be okay with it. She didn't know why Alex or anyone else would be. Allison wondered if Stefan had even told Alex about vervain. Somehow she doubted it.
"He should come to the party. Regardless of how we feel about each other, we have to be a united front if this is going to work."
She was hoping to appeal to Alex's sense of reason but Allison didn't know if she had one.
