The tingling feeling that Lydia felt vanished the moment that Anselm retreated from her to take a seat. Lydia eyed him and tried her best to not be so suspicious of him. Whatever she felt stayed with her, small aftershocks that rolled across her skin as she she finally seated herself across from her coffee date. It wasn't a surprise that Anselm wanted to know about her when the question perked her ears.
What to say? Lydia didn't think that it was good to lie. She had no reason to and there was nothing to fear when it came to Anselm's "strangeness". What Lydia felt was something that she would just have to discover at a later time.
"Nothing much to say," Lydia said, keeping a sense of mystery about her since she knew it would only make Anselm that much more curious about who she was and what she was. "I'm a Pisces," Lydia said, joking somewhat by letting Anselm know what her horoscope was, not that it gave much detail about how Lydia acted or the things she liked.
"I like to read - I read quite a bit, actually." It was one of the reasons why Lydia considered herself intelligent. It started out as just something to do and before Lydia realized it she was considered to be a genius. There was little that Lydia didn't know and the things that were new were instantly researched.
Since Anselm had been given the chance to get to know Lydia a bit better she thought it was only fair that she get to ask a question to see how it would be answered. "What's to know about you? I know there is more to you than a charming face and a cocky personality." If there wasn't then Lydia knew that she was just wasting her time. Lydia did not need a reply of her past lovers.
