Anselm was very curious about how this date of theirs would end up going. For one it had been a bit of time since he'd really been able to get out, but that was only due to things that had happened back from where he had come from. Salem of course was a lot different than Los Angeles, that was for certain.
He would miss the flashy lights, the night life and how things never seemed to really slow down and people were always awake. The town was a pulse back home, where this? He wasn't so sure he would find the same sort of pulse here, if anything it might be dull. There was a chance though, a chance that perhaps at least one red-headed girl could keep the pulse alive. Only time could tell really.
A grin remained on his lips once the sound of his own name left hers, he knew some had trouble to pronunciation, but it didn't seem like she had, there was hope after all. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Lydia." He'd extend his hand of course, though he wasn't looking for a simple hand shake as he had a bit more manners than that and would seek to kiss the top of her hand if she had allowed him the pleasure.
"Should we take a seat, or would you rather take a walk around the town? I have to admit I am still finding my way around. Though I don't object to getting lost for a little bit either."
