Ali sighed. She could understand a life where things just happened to you. Alison had to deal with that all of the time. Crazy things happened to her, people got obsessed with her and things went badly. She hated Mona for it and would forever see her as the catalyst for how her life went wrong. She didn't give a shit if was really her high school bullying that had sent Mona over the deep end. Mona was a crazy bitch and something would have made her snap anyway. But that was a plan of destruction for another time.
"Think about it, Jason. Spencer and I care about you and we're worried." And it really was true. Spencer and Alison so rarely agreed on anything. They were often more adversaries than friends. The smart ones were always the problem, Ali had realized that a long time ago and that was why she was particularly hard on her. For the two of them to come together on something as personal as Jason was a huge deal.
"If you need to talk to your girlfriend about it, do that too," Alison said as she stood up from the sofa. She didn't intend to stay. His apartment was so depressing and she lived with Dan 'I've Got A Chip On My Shoulder the Size of Arkansas' Humphrey. So that was really saying something.
"If she really loves you, like you think she does, she'll agree with us that rehab is the best place for you."
She walked to the door before turning back to look at her brother. It really was amazing how much the two of them looked alike, looked like Charlotte. Jessica's DNA was strong in them. You couldn't even tell that Jason was really the product of Peter Hastings. That was why Alison would always be possessive of her brother. He was hers.
"Let me know."
She let herself out and on the way to the elevator began to think of creative ways to try and get rid of the daughter of the devil.
