Jason laid in bed most of the morning. He had been trying to fight off a headache, the sweats, the soreness of what he was feeling. Drinking for days straight and then suddenly stopping wasn't helping him and it only made him want to run to the nearest liquor store. He told himself he didn't have a problem but he knew that Cady wanted him to limit his drinking. There was a difference between partying and becoming dependent on the bottle but really, what did she know? She didn't know his life or the shit he had gone through. It was easier to cope, it was easier to just be oblivious. But it wasn't working because he actually liked Cady and he wanted her around.
Ever since he had gotten arrested though he could that he was walking a thin line. Maybe he set it for himself. Maybe he was seeing something that wasn't there. Maybe it was his mind, hallucinations - shit like that.
He took a deep breath and finally just got up from the bed. This wasn't working and he nearly stumbled out to the kitchen. Luckily, Adam wasn't around. He was probably with Melissa or working considering it was the middle of the day. Jason went straight for the fridge and grabbed himself a beer and he easily popped it open.
What the hell, he'd try again tomorrow. Four beers later and he was sitting on the sofa flipping through the television. He didn't have to work and even if he did, he wasn't the best employee. He wasn't focused, he wasn't proud, he wasn't really anything. The only thing that he liked, that he wanted was Cady. But that didn't exactly buy him what he needed. He was a mess. He knew it. But it was so hard to just stop. Doing it before had felt like an accomplishment but then that went down the tank and now he was afraid to even try again.
He heard the knock on the door and he grumbled before getting up from the sofa and walking over to open. Then he just rolled his eyes. It was Alison. He didn't tell her anything because he didn't want to. But apparently Spencer had and he slammed the door shut.
"Great. And what is everything?" He asked, giving her a look which she just mirrored and he walked past her and plopped back down on the sofa. "Just get it over with, Alison." He already knew what was going to come.
