He had a nice smile. The thought was like a bubble that just burst in her head, but Kira knew it was true. When Theo smiled she just wanted to smile in response. His smile also seemed to calm her fox, but also create its own sort of energy in her body. This was all so confusing! Yes, she had blurted out her feelings, but that didn't make her feel any better. She was ready to launch into another rant when his remark caused her to give him a slightly surprised and insulted look.
"Excuse you? In my defense I was really surprised and just reacted," she narrowed her eyes at him. "I don't go out of my way to zap you!"
The slight annoyance in her eyes dimmed as he caressed her cheek. Her stomach twisted up into little knots as she stared up at him. She liked him, oh she really liked him. There was always this voice in the back of her head about how the pack was going to get angry with her, but at the moment she wasn't listening. Theo was standing right in front of her and looking like he was about to kiss her. That voice couldn't compete with any of that. A faint crackle of energy raced underneath her skin, but no sparks appeared.
"I'm not trouble," she nearly whispered as she closed the distance. Her lips connected with his. Nothing happened to injure either of them, her power was staying in check, even as her feelings got all sorts of jumbled. She was going to have a huge headache tomorrow, but it didn't matter. No, what mattered was the fact she was the one who kissed Theo this time without zapping him. Tomorrow she would try to sort things out, yeah, tomorrow she would deal with everything.
A faint feeling of fear raced through her body as she pulled back slightly from the kiss. Things were going to be complicated from now on and she didn't know what the future held. There was no going back now, she was just going to have to live with the consequences and the confusing feelings.
