Jenny had chosen something simple, something casual but still stylish for Toph. She wasn't sure if the girl even knew better but she watched with quiet amusement as Toph patted herself down for any offensive sequins. Jenny smiled. She was better at her job than that. She could sense someone who didn't want frill when they walked into the store.
She turned her attention to Hope who was admiring herself in a nearby mirror.
"You both look great," Jenny said. "But don't you want a little more variety?" If they didn't, they might as well just go on wearing hoodies and jeans forever. Jenny suspected that Toph might have her reasons for wanting something lightweight. The girl looked like somebody who could take care of herself. Jenny knew what that looked like because she could also take care of herself, though she had no actual superpowers.
"Just try on a dress? See how it feels. If you don't like it, I will never ever ask again," Jenny said.
"Okay," Hope agreed. "I'll try it but I don't think I'll like it."
Jenny picked out a royal blue a line dress for Hope. It was nothing fancy but it would give her a little bit of dressiness that she was missing now. And if she liked it, Jenny had a host of other girly things for her to try. While Hope disappeared into the changing room, Jenny approached Toph.
"How about you?" she asked. "Going to try it too?"
She was already holding out a gold shirt dress for Toph. "You might like it. It's even lighter than the pants."
