"Alright," Hope agreed. "Let's just go in and see how it goes." She led the way into the shop, holding the door open for Toph. For a moment, she was overwhelmed by all of the different colors and fabrics. Sometimes it was hard for Hope to get a grip on this world too.
Jenny was behind the register, sewing the hem of a dress she had been working on. She wasn't sure who the dress was for. It was too small to be for Sage. Lately, Sage had been Jenny's perfect model and ended up giving away some free clothing because seeing her dresses on Sage was amazing advertising for her and for the store.
She looked up to see two people walking around, one smaller than the other. It was hard to miss all of that red hair and as they grew closer Jenny could hardly ignore the fact that the smaller one wasn't wearing any shoes. What the hell?
Her instinct was to yell at them to get out. No shirt, no shoes, no service. Toph was probably going to run into that a lot if she continued to refuse to wear shoes. But then when she saw how she was dressed, she immediately softened. It was pity mostly but it at least saved Hope and Toph was her bitchy wrath.
"Can I help you?" Jenny asked. The salesgirl was actually behind the register filing her nails. Sales wasn't Jenny's area but Hope and Toph had drawn her interest.
