Constantine had caught Liv off guard the other night. And not only that, he’d given her plenty to think about. She and Ravi hadn’t even considered the consequences of unzombifying someone. The cure had worked on both Blaine and Major, even if it were only temporary. It had bought them some time before they would...expire. And with more tainted utopium, Ravi could have made more. But he wasn’t here, and Liv wasn’t there to warn them about what Constantine had said. One thing was for sure, Liv knew she didn’t want to be a zombie forever. Eating brains was not the way she wanted to spend the rest of her life, even if she did help solve murders. She wanted to go back to being normal, get her career back on track. It wasn’t too late, was it? Liv didn’t think so. She wasn’t going to give up on becoming a great doctor. Of course there was nothing wrong with being a Medical Examiner, aside from people looking at her strangely, especially because of her pale skin and everything else. But this had not been her dream, and so Liv hoped it was only temporary. The police station had been abuzz above her today, with everything going on. A girl was attacked, the evidence room was looted. Liv smirked to herself thinking about Detective Decker’s choice of wording on that. She’d said disturbed, if that wasn’t a euphemism...well. No one came down and bothered much with Liv and she was fine with that. She wished Ravi were here though, then she’d have someone to talk to. Even Clive would be a relief. She needed some familiar faces. She was making an effort to check the network every now and then, but she hadn’t really made any connections. She was listening to music while she scrubbed the autopsy table clean. So far, there hadn’t been any murders here but Liv believed that was bound to change. All of these people from all over, not all of them could possibly be good. Not that she hoped for anyone to be murdered, of course. But she would assist the department here as best she could, by letting them know she was a psychic, well psychicish anyway. |
