Balke Blake – The mice. Oh, man, the mice. Fisher's patchwork mice were a colorful bundle of tiny teeth, shiny button eyes, and multicolored tails. They looked like little rodent Harlequins – and they were absolutely f*cking everywhere.
Even Fisher lost track of exactly how many of the pint-sized quilted Frankensteins were sent running around the halls. (Or at least she was stalwart about never admitting the real number.) Their purpose was…eh. Well, nobody actually knows. No, not even Fisher. It's possible she made the first couple to practice her stitching and then just kept sewing. They were relatively harmless as far as Fisher's creations go; they didn't gnaw on anything, didn't steal anything, didn't cause anybody to vault out of the bath (re: the "bath shark") but they were so ever-present than it was uncanny.
It got even worse when some people started adopting them as pets.
