... He's always -- he's never been able to handle hurting others. From the start he couldn't even handle Angel's illusions being hurt. It didn't change when he came back. But I've never - I've never been able to reassure him, or prepare him or help him get stronger or anything at all. It never got better.
In the third round, we all-- we had a big argument. Our hand was all eight point cards or higher, but reshuffling would put us down to five. Vash and Spock started arguing over it, and everyone else. . . Aeris didn't want to sacrifice herself anymore, and Buttercup was scared. It got really ... really bad. Nobody really wanted to hurt anyone, so it really hurt them to fight for it.
But in the end we couldn't make a move unless everyone agreed to it, and Vash was never going to agree to hurt anyone else. So we reshuffled.
He didn't... after that he said he was just different from all of us and wouldn't stand in our way anymore. And then he was gone the next day. And he didn't come back again until the game was over, and he didn't remember anything anymore.
