[Stepping into the room, you find yourself in a small space not unlike the size of the entry room. But this room features two shelving cases against the walls, a large one on the right, and a smaller one on the left. More notably, Valerian is sitting in a chair in the corner next to the right shelves, idly flipping through a notepad. He looks up and smiles brightly.]

“Well! This is new.”

[This shelving case is large, taking up two thirds of the wall. The shelves are packed full of items, ranging from the mundane (sheafs of paper), to the random (metal flasks), to the potentially disturbing (chains, a bowl full of blue flames, and what looks like... a hole into blackness, just sitting there on the shelf). Every shelf is lined with things, and if there’s an order to it, it’s not apparent.]

A gigantic snake hovers above you, eyes glowing red, as you look at the flames with trepidation. Who would ever want to put their hand in there? But then again, who would want to refuse a snake big enough to eat you?

[The shelving case here is tall and thin, set out in a grid format with shoebox-sized spaces for its contents. Only the top spaces are occupied; there are a lot of empty spaces towards the bottom. A handful of items, one to each space, are arranged here: a piece of barbed wire, a martini glass, an unlit candle, a scalpel, a coin, a knife, a tiny model house, a gold bar, a bullet, a pair of binoculars, and a miniature missile.]
