They came back thinking they were other people. Thinking that I was someone else . . . they called me 'Lady Feathers'. And it didn't stop there, something spread to the lake, and people started changing from that too. Lucky and Scowl, and others . . . they could remember who they really were, who we were if they tried, but it was hard.
Scowl and I, and Claude . . . did something we shouldn't have, then. Scowl and I found something we weren't supposed to know.
