People want the world to be simple, because it's easier to understand and control that way. But it is never that simple, no matter how hard we pretend it is. So the people that fall between the desperation for simplicity—well, it doesn't make them any less important, certainly. But it does mean the world fears what they cannot understand. However, what is feared is not always wrong—and what is misunderstood, is not always wrong, no matter how much those who wish to separate the world into black and white would like us to believe it is.
