[also squints]

Mm, but I think we'd be able to see from here. It's bigger than me.

That's true. Ah, do you think it broke it's neck? That was the main thing I wanted to know--! I mean, it isn't moving or anything.

And if it were alive I think it'd be twitching due to falling from this height. [peeers down] It might've? We should go down and check.

That's a good idea, before something decides to pop out of the water and eat it too--!

--ew. Definitely shouldn't have filled the things with so much muck.

We know better for next time.

—ah, it's definitely dead. Look at it's neck.

[checkiiin'--yeah that sucker looks pretty broken '-']

Wow. Even if it was capable, it definitely couldn't have written anything in the sand or made a last ditch cry. Guess it was instant.

[gettin' up close to investigate '-' . . . does poke it at first to DOUBLE MAKE SURE it's dead]

Mmm. [crouches down to peer at it's neck] Did it look like it fell on it's head from up there? The angle's strane if it just hit the ground otherwise.

I honestly couldn't tell. . .but if you look at this!

[notes the MUDDY WATER, and lifts up the head a little]

It's dry under here, and from the looks of things, a little dry under the chest too. That means this area must have made impact before the balloons, right?

Ah - you're right. Which means the body didn't . . . er, bounce after it hit, either.

Maybe it was too heavy? Hmm...can you tell if it broke any other bones?

[offers him a deflated balloon??]

[also gonna check out lizard's face '-' PUPILS, MOUTH, --ew was it about to vomit up something LET'S CLOSE THAT....]

I wonder if it would have lived if the ground were just a bit softer...!

[handwave, I WILL DO THIS WITH MY BARE HANDS—bleh, lizard blood. Pushing at the body a little to roll it some once Badger's done - oho]

I doubt it—it broke a few ribs and one punctured the skin, so I wouldn't be surprised if an organ got punctured, too.

Damn. Then maybe the impact shook through the entire body. . .I still put my money on the broken neck, but there must be some bleeding going on in there, in that case. If this was a human, that chest would look even worse.

[stepping back to investigate the ground, especially around the tail]

I'm putting my money on internal damage, even though the neck's obviously broken. At least on what killed it first.

[thiiiinks]

I guess it's entirely possible it could have been in the process of dying by the time we dragged it up there. We hit a few bumps.

. . . Iiii'm pretty sure it was still alive before we tossed it down there.

I said "in the process." So maybe the internal bleeding happened before the final nail in the coffin.

Ah, my bad. . . . maybe, but . . . the bumps weren't that bad, were they? Not enough to cause serious internal damage . . . right?

[MENTAL FLASHBACK TO THE VARIOUS WAYS THEY POSSIBLY TRIED TO GET IT TO THE CLIFF....]

A-aha. . .unless we're stronger than we look, probably not. Though lizard ribs might be more delicate than a humans??

I would think they're stronger, since it's a lot bigger.

Haah, that would make sense, yeah.

. . .

While for a relatively good cause, did we seriously just push a drugged up lizard to its death?

Mm, we did. For science.
