[Some minutes ago, curfew fell, the dampening darkness seeming deeper and thicker than it ever has. And one by one, outside of a few dorms, circles of small yellow lights flickered into existence, and each made their way to the rocks and fallen pillars that marked the front guards to the silent ruins of the Sacred City. As each catch sight of each other and puddle together, a young kid in black, bearing no light himself, glances over at Mitsuru, and then back at the group.]

... Apus? Hmm.

I assume we all know the plan?

The walk is still and quiet, almost eerily so while heartrates and breathing steadies. The ground remains mercifully still below your feet as you walk. The light slides into and just out of doorframes and windows as you pass, most completely empty, except for the metal hinges where shutters or doors once stood barrier to what elements existed.

It seems almost entirely uneventful as the road angles back northward, until those without cloaks catches a faint, distant scent of incense.]

[Following the others keeping an eye on the scenery...

There's something as you wind on up the road, the path stopping before a few arches, each lining up directly behind the last on a stairway up a steep rise in the cavern floor.

The scent of incense here is stronger, almost visible in the air as you get closer. Your feet feel heavy and fumbly, your eyes have that heavy, dry feeling, begging for just a few seconds with them closed.]

[Except instead of stairs, you see enormous, fluffy satin pillows in a mountainous pile. The edges of the light, the cobblestones, the rubble, vanish in curling bluish haze of sweet, alluring smoke.

It feels like you haven't slept for days...

As Mitsuru and Santa trail the main group, a small altar sits at the top of the hill, paint now a pale pink from the deep red it used to hold.]
