The right side for alerts, the left for alarms — with the directional indicator being from a state of self-perception from within the figure, rather than an external, mirrored view. Likewise, hand and leg movements are grouped as hold or call signals, with legs indicating movement away from the immediate vicinity.
Movement of the right arm indicates something has been found, and we should be ready. Left is an immediate request for assistance. Movement of the right legs indicates to depart, with nothing found; left indicates the mission has been aborted and all need to remove themselves as efficiently as possible.
