The Apocalypse got kicked off somehow. Cas--Castiel, some angel guy I knew real well, was the one that had to break the news that it was the End of Days. And all that kinda bullshit. Somehow Sammy and me got stuck with trying to keep the damn world running and somehow not end it with throwing him into Hell. And when I say Hell, I mean. Literal. Hell.

Most people in my world don't much like it when people go up to them, saying, "Hey, this place is haunted. Maybe you should pack your bags and go and we'll take care of it."

And, of course, people who do that while carrying shot guns filled with rock-salt to dispel spirit, speaking Latin verses, flicking holy water everywhere? Yeah, they go straight to the looney bin, or--even better, as my experience has been, end up on FBI's Most Wanted because those damn 'shifters murdered people with my face.

I was even blamed for a bank heist because of one of those fuckers. Cops aren't any help. They get in the way--and their retarded S.W.A.T. teams snipe the good guys. And they wonder why I don't got any problems with impersonating a person of the law.

	It's easier to simply discard anything that can make people uneasy as someone's crazy talk. I suppose in the end, people just don't want to believe they could be in danger in their own home. I don't think any of us had a life full of rainbows and sunshine. Dagger said everyone in Corvus has killed someone, so I wouldn't expect something like that.

I can't possibly know about you being a ticking timebomb, but you're right, if the bomb were to explode, we'll make sure to deal with it. You're part of the family, so we won't leave you alone, crazy or not.

I heard it used to be more military-rank oriented, but I'm glad I could help changing everyone's outlook a little. I'm not really good in battles, and I've only just remembered how to use a gun. So back when I woke up, I decided I wanted to smile for everyone when they couldn't, and do my best to bring a smile on their face as well. I started joking about Royal and Rory being married and our parents, so it was just teasing at first... but it really fit, and with me and Persephone always going on about it, I think everyone just started realizing how true it was— that we're a family.

In the end, I think they've known since the beginning. They just needed a nudge in the right direction. I don't really have a family back home... I don't remember about it, but I know for sure I have no one left. So for me Lyvus is truly important. That's why I'm happy I could help bring such a change, even if it was just a little.

... a lot of the older Corvus-types were like Dagger. Kids that were in a bad situation, some of 'em grew up to be in a worse situation. Like Sword? She was kidnapped when she was a kid and tortured into what she says people call a monster. She didn't understand a lot about certain concepts, but... she smiled sometimes and it was like she was that kid again.

Scar wasn't human, and I think he was a science experiment at one point. Fucking Horn game made it out like some team wanted to eat him, since he wasn't human, so we were real protective of him.

Cerces wasn't human either--no completely. I think he was a science experiment, too... and he was just as much about the "Yes Sir", "No Sir", "How high, Sir?" that Dagger can be sometimes... he was actually from one of the old Corvus teams back before our group started in Sabra. Stuck in the earth...

Grenade was deformed and mutilated... missing an arm, missing fingers--kid was a mess, and I don't doubt he came from a pretty fucked up place. Hope was military, I think... Bayonette didn't even last a week, so I never got to know her.

Most I could do... was try to work with them to get them to relax about the whole militant idea. Problem is, I have a lot of that sort of experience myself, but I also know what family's like. I know what it's like to lose it. I never wanted those guys to lose what little they had.

This is why I said you're a kind person, Bond. To be able to bring such people together and give them the sort of support they needed, and teaching them what family is like... I think it was great. Especially considering your own pain and experiences. Dagger has always talked rather fondly of you— the first time I really got him to talk openly with me was when I asked him about older Corvus people.

And I can see why he's so fond of you.
