It was the same back home: I had a magic mirror that used to belong to my mother, and the necklace I wore and the mirrors I carried were all linked to that. 	...Not exactly. I'm not entirely sure what might distinguish the two anymore, but where I'm from alchemy is a science, and governed by rules and laws. We can't create something from nothing, and we can't change what something is--metal remains metal, stone remains stone.
