It's an imperfect analogy, since most people don't conflate [frowns, pauses] social and mental health with physical health.
But, if it were an infectious disease, and the physicker knew that if the disease was allowed to persist in its patient, that the disease would spread to others, possibly becoming a problem that would kill people before the physicker could heal them, then more than the patient matter.
