I'm not going to say that you're wrong to question. I've been doing my share of that today. Even if I find it tiring, it's valuable to have someone checking my assumptions -- all of our assumptions.
But what you just said is the window I'm taking, the one I saw and count on. If they knew what we were thinking without actively looking, none of this could work at all -- but it has. I'm opposing them by letting them overlook me, not by standing face to face. Their preconceptions are what matter, not their power, and we know that that's where they're limited.
