[Heart: Courtyard: Table]

[The table is solid wood, and clearly intended to be a work table -- there are paint and ink stains. On it, are two sets of papers, bound together by metal loops such that they can be flipped through like a book, but with no cover or distinct title page. Loose papers are stacked to either side -- on the left is but a single sheet, but on the right are five. They look a bit moldy, and ones on the right are smudged, all the papers are still dry, despite the weather.

[At the far end of the table are several jars and inkwells and a set of brushes and pens. There is also a stack of blank paper.

[Oh, there are also several rodents, made of mirrored glass, picking at the pages of the right book. You hear the tearing sound of paper, as the rodents grab the top page and one from somewhere in the middle of the stack and go running off. The one with the top page dashes off to the southeast; the one with the middle page to the northwest. Three more run off, one to the north, one to the northeast, and one to the south. ]

[They seem to be annoyingly fleet of foot, in the way of things that are present in Hearts, always staying out of your grasp until four of them -- all but the southmost rat -- make it into the buildings; and the last squirms into an alleyway between two buildings]

I think they have something to do with what mirror did to her. Remember how her face changed a bit from what it used to be? And the rats are made of mirrored glass. Or they look like that, anyway.

They're glass, and they're ripping things apart in her heart. I think we need to smash them all.

The rodents are as teckla. It would be well to remove the creatures.

I would consider those that have made off with materials priorities.

I think it's part of her knowledge of things, both from here and before.

While what you say is reasonable, why should we follow your lead? You are not from Lyvus. Letting Selendis make the calls would make more sense.

*shrugs*

I won't pretend to be more familiar with Honor than anyone from your teams, but Eloquence is from her world, and he might know things none of you do.

In any case, I'd suggest dividing up to try to retrieve those papers more quickly.

I didn't suggest that, just that the group split up in some way. But the more time we spend discussing this, the less time she has. Are you willing to risk that by insisting on arguing points that no one's even made an issue of?

I don't care who on Lyvus calls the shots, Persephone. If you want to, go ahead, but I don't want to leave it to other teams.

It is but a suggestion. I have known Honor for some centuries, both as a friend and as her lord, but I would not pretend to issue orders.

[And sudden other Lynx who...I don't know, had to delay for whatever reason and caught the tail end of rats and such.]

Sion wouldn't be here if he wanted to hurt Honor. And relying on solely one person to decide every move in a heart would be dangerous, listening to their suggestions would be a good thing to do.

[The left book has a Corvus-purple crow on the top with a lot of notes in Tazendra's handwriting, and is a stack of maybe 15-20 papers. The single paper to the left side is of a pink swan. The image itself seems to be growing brown mold and a bit water-marked. There is a sparse amount of notes, and, near the bottom, is the words, in larger writing. “Their dorm was eaten by the hungry ground, and their last member was adopted into Pyxis.”

[The top page of the right book was torn away by the mirror rodents, with fragments still resting on the rings binding the book -- maybe 10 or so pages are in this book, with space for half a dozen more. The first remaining page is a bearlike creature, drawn in red and silver and labeled as a tsalmoth. The five loose pages to the right seem to be of the same type as the pages in the right book, with a gold-colored mold obscuring them such that what, exactly, they are isn’t quite clear. The text is also illegibly smudged. One of them has ‘Hawk?’ written on it, and a pencil sketch of a bird of prey in the margins. ]
