Re: Post-game Mingle
We started out in a room with bookshelves and a dresser and a bed. There was a vent on the wall. There was a dog... puppy. Pochi. He woke up a rabbit who was sleeping in the bed. Scootaloo.
We took the first aid kit and found bandages and a bottle of blue liquid inside. The books were about Tabletop Gaming... a key fell out of one of them later. We took the lockbox that was there too. The dresser had a scarf with hearts on it and a screwdriver. We put on the scarf on Scootaloo and had him unscrew the grate. We had Pochi move the dresser to reach the vent-- we found a message that said "light helps" on the wall behind it. We had Pochi check out the vent while Scootaloo got a bedspring from the bed and picked up two of the books to use as protection later.
The vent had bloodstains in it, led to a left-right branch. ...Pochi took the left branch by accident and Scoot followed behind. There was something making a skittering sound coming after them so they bailed into the next room-- pushed through the grate and then put it back on once they were out.
The next room had a weird black blade-thing with no handle on the wall. There was a baseball bat under the bed. We tried to get Scoot to grab the blade but it cut him instead. The sheets came in handy to wrap it up enough on one side to form a handle. We asked Pochi to bandage Scoot's injury... and thanks to some commands Pochi drank the entire bottle of blue stuff, but nothing's happened to him so far...
...anyway. [deep breath]
There was a dead terapede, another lockbox, and a flashlight with no batteries in the drawers. About this time bloodstains started appearing-- on the pillow of the bed. We poked it with the bat but nothing happened. Under the rug was a trapdoor that was locked. More bloodstains came up-- handprints on the dresser, a handprint on the door and a smear from the knob to the floor.
We used the key that then fell out of one of the books from the last room to unlock one of the lockboxes, and a keycard was in it. The room shifted again, with more bloodstains in the middle of the bed mattress itself. Pochi started acting uneasy, sniffing around like something was there. We cut up the pillow but there was nothing in it, and got the two of them out the door.
There was a hallway there with four doors, none locked. Door on the same side as the one they'd left seemed to lead into the bedroom they came from, but we didn't check it. Doors on the right were one with "Don't Forget" written on it and another blank one. We took the former first. That's where we found the computer, the chess set and the glass window with the view of that bottomless pit.
Pochi didn't recognize the computer. Scoot was unsure about it but read the screen for us. ...he didn't know how to input anything into it, looked irritated about it...
...we stalled for a while there arguing about what to do. But we checked out the chess set before intermission hit-- it had seven queens on it and nothing else. The last thing we had them do was head out of the room, and it stopped there.
