...so demons are commonly seen as bad? [Frowning.] No wonder he has problems with it. [F-fff, like she gets how bad demons usually are.] I mean more of the powerful thing which might or might not be a good idea to make deals with, but you do it anyway because you need or want the power.

And I was trying to understand you. But you're really hard to understand, so I just decided to be direct as I could so I have less to figure out.

Isn't understanding someone the best way to figure out any trust you have in them is good? It's possible to trust people and find out later that it wasn't a good idea...and I don't want that, not after how much good we've been able to do with your power.
