That IS a solution. A rather messy solution, but a solution none the less. Lets save the bitey eatey bits for now or at least keep it on standby.

If he is listening, right now he's hearing a perfectly pleasant conversation about wines, fermenting and recipes. I'll be sure to mark them down later.

There comes the complication of a lot of attention right now at a point, where, frankly, I can't afford it. That's three now. One I've taken under wing, so to speak, but .. these two are a touch more troubling by the form of their nature, as much as they are also an asset by the same token.

[There's a feeling in the room, separate from the little squidrat, of pacing.]

Was under threat, and really that was more of a feint than anything else, going by her reaction after the failed mission on Ophiuchus's part. So if you weren't really her target, then there would have to be another element to her actions, therefore another goal. One that would not settle well for the blanks.

But better the possible enemy of the embodiment of everything I loathe than she herself.

A feint it may have been, but I do assure you, if it had succeeded I doubt she would have simply dropped the ball with a cheerful "just kidding."

I can't say exactly what her ultimate goals are, but I can make a fairly accurate guess, and no, it doesn't particularly bode well for anyone of the small and squishy side of things. Or honestly even? The large and generally less squishy either.

Self absorbsion does wonders for letting things continue as they do.

Now then, I have heard what you are offering to very nearly everyone who'd listen. DO you actually have a plan besides pass it on and hope for the best?

It's a suicidal plan, if anything, but it's the only one that can be thought of with so little help. None of the blanks seem particularly interesting in helping, in any case, and one had even suggested I get my hands dirty myself, which if you know my type of character, you probably understand how much that annoys me.

Still. I was thinking of telling the Guardian that I was to retrieve Queen's symbol on her order and deliver it where it needs to go to have done with. Something approaching that, anyway, since Queen seems to enjoy throwing poor Guardian off and communication between the Judges in that aspect does not seem to be all the best.

But that would be the roughest of ideas. I had been initially planning on something a little more long-term.

	That is to the point, why you are gathering a great deal of doubt in your wake, as much as some surprised interest: It is incredibly suicidal. At the very least, returning to Ophiuchus would be ill advised if not immediately fatal. Quick to leave, my darling snake, I would have simply taken these words from your ears and send you back upon your way. And with all consideration to your own safety it is something I should still do.

What I am asking, in that round about way to ask. If you were to do such a thing, where do you plan to go? Have any to take you in? You will have given up both your power and position, your lifestyle and the possibility of a wish through the normal route.

With the risks so laid out, are you still willing? Have you a plan?

Let me be clear.

I am aware that there is no lost love between some of the blanks and I on their part. Yet, I am still fond enough of them to throw a wrench in the Judges plans for them to give them better chances. It's really quite simple: I prefer humans to gods. And this god I hate more than any other. All of that brings me to their doorstep and yours and the reception has been about what I expected.

They may not have any love for me but one of the elements I do love of these blanks is their willingness to look past that so as to not leave anyone to be eaten if they can help it.

In this way, I do not mind my life and survival being in their hands. As I've said, it's preferrable to having it in the Judges'.

So, in very short, you have determination as your driving force and faith in substitution of a plan.

One way or another you will act, that is granted. With that in mind, I WOULD rather it be in my favor, and the only way to assure that is to make sure you know where that is.

Ah, you mean Tack? He's been an informant who wants out of his accidental dealing with Queen. Isolating him until her symbol is out of the picture would be the proper course of action. He is not as affected as some of the other Ophiuchus she has managed to get her claws--should I say teeth instead?--into.

He would make a better ally than enemy, but I will say that he's a survivalist for someone his age. But I think your taking consensus of the sutuation will allow him to judge for himself which side would be the better to choose.
