You can still do that, can't you? Even thinking about it now, there's no way that I'm the same as the Albert that lived in Paris before this place just because I took back the name. I've changed. And there are some bits of me from back then that I don't really like-- just as there are some bits of me from now that I don't really like, either.

It's more that... I don't think that simply changing your name can change who you are. That's something you do on your own, regardless of what you're called.
