[You get an essay! The handwriting is decent and from someone used to writing things longhand, and the prose... well, think of Tazendra's speaking style, but a bit more so.
The content is a bit muddled, as one might expect from someone not prone to introspection. So, rather rambly and probably far longer than Flawless Snake asked for, though perhaps not in content.
The salient points:
-- Tazendra lists things she finds honorable. Protecting those weaker than herself. A lot of 'don't do things that are fun because they will hurt the team, of which you are a part' -- with her definition of fun usually being 'dangerous and stupid'. So, maintaining the team's function and the lives of her teammates is an honorable goal. She also associates it with forthrightness, in that she considers honorable intentions by necessity clear, and hidden ones dishonorable. Fearlessness is a part of it -- not showing fear, feeling fear and never, ever acting on fear. -- Currently, Tazendra notes that she is not sure how her teammates' conceptions of honor differ. She does comment on Royal's behavior during the Veiled Game. As she tells it, Royal seemed more concerned with tactics to win versus whether an action was right or wrong. Thus, she concedes Royal's own code of behavior is more concerned with winning at all costs. Tazendra notes that she could think of some circumstances where she would rather not win, so Royal may be different than her. --She does think of Selendis as very much like her. She mentions that it was Selendis's opinion that Easterners would not respect the desire to die honorably -- that is, free of mind without betraying one's comrades, even when forced -- versus to live dishonorably. --She comments briefly on Persephone and Rory, noting that Persephone has comrades here, and thus must modify her honor code to balance 'team' and 'comrades' and that Rory is in the same situation with his mistress on Cetus (as Tazendra is convinced he is her manservant thanks to Comic Misunderstandings). Tazendra is mercifully free of such concerns. -- From that, she gathers, the best chance to show honor or dishonor is in the Games, as that is where she learned of Royal and Selendis, and realized her own desire to protect her team. -- As to betraying honor, she's perhaps willing to do so for her teammates. Maybe. She is willing to fight someone she knows she can wipe the floor with if is a matter of duty to her team. She is less sure about deception or cowardliness, since both feel wrong to her. There's a lot of waffling here until she admits that she isn't sure which will win out. ]
