Just about every time you've taken a memory, it's a pretty fucking huge reaction one way or another, but fuck if I can get a feel on this one.

Are you all right?

Yes. It was . . .

It was everything we hoped it would be.

The culmination of our research into hearts, into darkness, into the nature of the world itself and all the worlds beyond.

We shattered the barriers that had kept us caged and transcended to an existence purely of the heart.

That the remnants of that process were able to reform into something like this after it was complete is truly remarkable, if unfortunate.

Don't be a dumbfuck!

I don't give a shit about what you think about the process. There's nothing 'unfortunate' about you being here right now.

All the impossibility of it aside, you really do care.

I do not doubt it.

If you wish to validate your existence, you would be better served by marking something that itself exists. But what comes of this may have its own results.

But it is this set of variables that is unique. Setting up such an experiment artificially would be all but impossible without engineering a similar loss and replacement of memory, to say nothing of likewise engineering your acceptance.
