[It's a sound that keeps steady time through the next few minutes, as much shared between them as the warmth of the space under her draping robe. Her free hand seeks out the corner of his shirt, fingers curling in the fabric and holding there, as if the weight of her legs over his and the curl of his arm around her weren't sure enough.

It stays there even minutes later, when she pulls back just enough to press her fingers over the cut instead of her lips, the movement small enough that her breath drifts soft over his dampened skin.]
