[Starts for the door.. and pauses at the threshold.]

Lets... leave this off the map. Or at least the one we turn in.

Those fucks don't need to know where this place is.

[Nods, and continues through. He waits a heartbeat for Scowl then continues down their path with one backwards glance.]

[The way they skate, in silence now, widens. There are signs of wheels, the telltale ruts carved and broken into flagstone and silt, ancient and undisturbed by wind, only filled by the movement of animals and time.

The buildings have changed, most of them having rounded, arched doorways, wide windows, both empty of any fittings or frames now. A few buildings even have stone or wrought metal bins, meant for displaying wares.

The road is wide here, and looks like it opens into a huge square up ahead.]

[Wait, was that—?]

[glancing over his shoulder at some of the metal bins] We should remember where those are. If we can find a forge then maybe Simba can make good use of them.

[Circles back quickly. The bins seem to be well welded into the walls of the building, probably why they haven't been scavenged yet.]

I wonder if Zel could do something...

Mm, if we're just going to reforge it, pieces shouldn't be a problem.

Mmm. Any and all resources are the most valuable finds out here. Especially if we can get it done before anyone else gets out here.

[The road immediately ends in a large square. It is easily 50 feet across either way and the ground here is taken with moss, glowing flowers and scraggly brush. Creeping vines run along stone benches and broken fixtures that were either water troughs or some part of stables.

Across the way, and directly to either side, roads seem to empty into the square, and cut the city you stand in, in four distinct sections.

In the center of the square is a giant, three tiered fountain, with what seems to be three carvings upon each. It doesn't pour any water... however...

Easily in view, a fatty lizard seems to be investigating the inside of the lowest tier with docile interest. It looks up to stare at the intruding blanks, gives out an explosive huff of air, and begins a lumbering turn.]

[Returns the grin. Man it's been FOREVER since we had GOOD meat like that.

During this silent exchange the giant lizard turns and begins to amble down the far road, club like tail swaying and shaking the ground under you a little.]

[It trundles northwards, the wide sweep of its tail as it moves discouraging you from getting too close.

The buildings return to what are obviously residences. Here, less seem to have been built with stone, and merely foundations and reinforcements remain, sometimes with a stone firepit or table sitting in the middle of nothing at all.

Every now and then the massive creature stops, lifts its great head into the air and takes in loud snorts of air before moving on.

As it passes the limits of the city - somehow it seems a shorter trip through this side...

It begins to speed up, moving with a certain intent focus and unexpected speed for such mass.]

[The path sharply widens and again, wide space stretches out, devouring the edges of the torchlight. A few crumbling ruins stand here or there, only hints of what once was. A platform or a pillar, an inset depression in the land...

Stones scatter out, and a few low hanging plants with vividly blue berries hang low from the rubble or climb the occasional stalactite.

The lizard seems to be heading towards a wall up ahead... and by the familiar scent, even Scowl might be able to pick up at this distance, there is wall cabbage and berries up ahead.

Though something is strange about the mammoth rock ahead, something about it isn't taking to the torchlight as normal stone...]

[So there's more food up here . . .

Losing interest in the lizard now that he can smell what it's probably after, he diverts to pass closer to the rock ahead for a better look.]

[As you get closer, you see... it seems to be a man made structure. There are signs of wagons, of broken surface where great, heavy materials were dragged... It is carved into something of a slow, arching curve upwards.

There isn't the seamless workmanship of ants. You can see where tools worked and where misjudgments were left and simply worked around.

... But the most striking part of it... is the many shades of blue painted on it's huge curved surface. Here and there, streaks of white are done in a cartoonish manner... There's something uneven about it, something basically flawed about the sky painted there, that makes it seem like its a work of imagination or stories rather than something... anyone had actually seen.

Littered around the base are a few flat stones with rounded depressions and blue stains marking them...

The rock, the further you follow it, becomes larger, taller, arched more.. as if it, if finished, was to surround the city.]

... the sky.
