[Much of Hydra's encampments are delineated by their original villages, symbols dyed or embroidered onto the tent panels acting much as the symbols in the swamp once did, identifying one from the next. Near the centre of the collective group, one tent is particularly large, for all that it has but three living inhabitants. The rest of the room is taken up by a small cherished portion of Hydra's one library.
And between one blistering morning and the next, it acquires four things more: a large wooden barrel, two incredibly drugged currwis, and a single librarian, reading quietly among the books as if he had been there unnoticed all this time.]
