If you've made up your mind about something you can become obsessed, interpret everything as working towards the conclusion you've made and block out any opposition as lack of understanding instead of a different perspective. You do that, you have done it, I know you have a memory by now.

So you're going to do something drastic and suddenly what you've been telling everyone will make perfect sense to them, even though they've been failing to see it your way.
