*nods*

We need to bring back something for the Guardian to eat. Alive. I'm sure we could take down one of the large lizards, but getting it here....

How big are they?

Most are about as tall as a man, and more than twice as long. They're wide, though, and have armored hides. They're probably the largest creatures we could find here to bring back.

A challenge then. That snake will have to approve of it. You agree, don't you?

Exactly. Maybe if all goes well, we could bring back more than one. I've an idea or two in mind, at least.

*carrying on like he didn't hear that second part*

Marla mentioned knowing some magic that could induce sleep or paralysis, and there's someone on Canis who specializes in illusions and magic affecting minds. If he can make something we can use, it might be possible simply to knock out or immobilizing a few of them, secure a halter of some sort, and then just lead them back.

If the snake's instructions were for us to get it, it should be us who get it. Leave the colored shits out of it.

*shrugs*

We'll need tools either way, unless you plan to beat it with your fists and drag it with your bare hands. I don't mind using whatever I can acquire to make things run smoothly.

. . . Are you stupid? We've got an entire room full of weapons. Is that not enough tools for you?

.....did you miss the part about bringing it back alive? Killing them is easy, but unless you've got a better idea of how to bring it back here than dragging it yourself...

You're definitely stupid.

There's weapons in there that won't kill. This weapon I have isn't killing anyone. Rely on your own shitty brain and skills to get the job you were assigned done.

*rrraaising an eyebrow, then shrugging*

.....go ahead and knock one out or disable it however you want, then. I'd like to see how you get it back here without help or some other tools, let alone try for more than one.

[AIMING AT]

"Without help?" What do you think the point of being on a unit is you stupid piece of trash? And more than one is good, but what do you think that snake's going to say when you tell him you had to go rely on someone else's skills to do it? Find a way to do it without them.

*.....*

Should I not rely on my sword because I didn't forge it? A tool is a tool, there's no reason not to use any resources we can acquire.

[sssteps up]

How about we split up? We'll get more work done that way, and we can use whatever methods we think are best. There's no way we need seven people to herd one lizard, at our level. And the more we get, the better for the group.

Hey, I'm pretty sure any one of us can catch a lizard if we try. I'm just thinking we can get more done faster this way, yeah? We were all separately talked to after all. Probably need a serving for everyone.

Still need more than one to get them back, don't we?

Usually. Unless we can make them follow us on their own power.

Why not just chase them all the way here? That's what I was thinking.

Easier than knocking them out and dragging them.

*shakes head*

Marla mentioned knowing sleep or paralysis magic of some kind... use something like that, and immobilize it first. Blind it and secure a halter, then lead it with that once it's awake again. Though it'd be best to either ensure it's obedient with a spell or something, or have someone who could disable it again if needed.
