. . .? The one you told me about first, with your friend Ran?

--wait, let me make sure I'm thinking about this straight. Haibara's a first grader too?

She . . . looks to be that age?

Then again, the way she talks . . .

. . .

Do you suspect she's like you?

I don't want to make assumptions, especially after seeing a few of the people here as children.

But she knows. That I can say for sure.

Fair enough. . .sometimes kids don't get enough credit.

Aaah, and if she is just a normal kid, she's probably excited to know such an important secret about you.

. . . I don't think Haibara does "excited".

Something like that.

Otherwise, the memory's pretty trivial. A good one, but it doesn't tell me much other than random trivia.

Eeh, you never know when trivia could be useful. What kind of riddles were they?

Ah, the first one was . . .

"Detective Boys: I've been taken away by bad guys. Please go to three places in Beika City to save me. The first location is a 5 minute walk from Teitan Elementary, ten minutes from Beika Station, and 15 minutes from Touto Tower. You'll find me waiting under an Oak tree."

He left out a map for the kids to use.

. . .

That sounds more like horrible directions mixed with a math equation.

It is.

They couldn't figure it out, so I told them how to convert the times to distances. A person's approximate speed while walking is 4 to 5 kilometers, per hour, which converts to about 80 meters per minute . . .

[handwave] They picked up on the rest, and eventually solved it.

. . .

(I don't think I could have solved it without that hint.)

Aaah, that's good then.

The other clue . . . I'd have to write that one out, and it'd be in Japanese.
