Who: Pyxides and others
Where: near the Forge
When: Day 179, after noon
What: glass making

[manipulating a few thousand degrees of molten silica from a few feet away will give a person a healthy appreciation of the cooler temperatures of the regular cave areas. Miranda is wearing a light weight peasant shirt and her sturdy leather pants, and her hair is pulled back from her face with the headband from Red, while a recently acquired handkerchief is tied securely over her mouth and nose.

The glass that she's working with at the moment is a hollow globe roughly the size of a small cantaloupe and opened at the far end as she sets it back into the furnace to heat again so she can start spinning it flat.

Several other glass pieces are cooling down in a second oven from the day before.]

[his jacket has likely suffered yet ANOTHER hole while dodging from previous attempts...but is used to that by now]

Haha, that's one way to decorate it.

[Consider it natural air conditioning.]

Too bad, maybe we can threaten one of the black team for it...

Maybe that River fellow if he drops by again. If he's going to teach us about glass, he may as well expand on embellishing it.

[Glances at the super heated glass in the ovens... and smiles.]

... Hopefully he will.

We'll ask. You're really getting into this, huh?

[Starts to reach out to touch the glass... and is warded back by the heat.]

It's beautiful and dangerous, don't you think? What's not to like?

Aaah, true enough. It's strange to think something as simple as a mirror or a plate could come from such dangerous material.
