Where: Delphinus dorm area
When: Day 176, post-game
What:

[So if you're on Delphinus, coming back from the game, and were around when "Raymond" made soap the first time, the stench of boiling fat is probably familiar.

... If not, well. There's a first time for everything. At least he's doing it outside this time?]

Mm.

Still, sounds like he has good advice.

[ . . . . . . lol. ]

Shishio-san has the best advice . . .

*arguing with crazy people talking to headmummies isn't smart, kay?*

Think I'll follow it, then.

. . . don't sound so half-hearted.

Then I'll definitely do that. No backing down, ever.

I'll prove it, too.

I'll look forward to that.

Aah, you never answered though... how are you doing now?

You can't really apologize for a life in the wrong direction. So all I'm going to try and change direction little by little. It's good enough, I think, but . . . it's too complicated just to say 'fine.'

It is complicated... but it's good. I'm glad to hear it.

It's not really a worry of mine . . . it can't be. Spending too much time on what's right or what's wrong kind of got me in that place to begin with.

Then it's still okay not to know the kind of person you were. But . . . you should decide what you want to be.

I'll have to think about it, but I'm pretty sure I want to be someone who can protect the people they care about.

It's too bad Himura-san isn't here anymore. . . . protecting people is harder than killing them, because killing is easy. You can't be pretty sure, or someone like me will cut you down. It's probably unfair, but if you take too long I'll have to start judging you a lot more.

[ a bit of a laugh ]

It's not something Shishio-san can help either of us with. Himura-san might know the answer, but he's gone now. No one will thank you for standing up for the weak, and they might dislike you. . . . so you can't pander to them.

I guess. . . don't be pathetic. What's the right phrasing . . . [ T-THUMBS UP ] Man up!

...

*smiling*

All right. Then I'll be sure. I'll be confident, and I won't let them tell me I'm wrong, even if I'm taking the harder path. It'll be worth it if it's something I work hard for.
