Yeah. It was being at the market with my parents, when I was little. It's the first time I've gotten a memory of them.

That sounds like a good memory.

Mm! It seems like they were really good people. . . it's nice to know.

I would hope that all of us have good parents.

Hah, you'd hope. . . They were a lot better than my uncle, anyway. I know they're not really useful memories but I think I'd like to get more of them.

Usefulness is relevant. Aren't they all part of gaining who you are?

Yeah, but it's stuff from when I was a kid. More recent ones probably will tell me more. But it's not like I can choose what kind of memory I end up getting, anyway.

None of us can.

So let's not argue about it. Do you want to take yours now?

Ah, right.

*pops one into his mouth, looks blank for a moment, and then grins*

...It seems I have some fighting lessons at my disposal after all.

Really!?

[looks just as shocked as he does in the icon. wooow things I didn't expect from teammate.]

*nods*

It's not weapons training. Something called judo. It seems to be mostly grappling, but perhaps it's something I can build on?

Yeah! Anything's better than nothing, at least.

This is true. I can practice the katas, at least.

It's a good memory to get back, here.

I never used the moves for anything other than practice, as near as I remember, though.

Well, you didn't come from a place where you would need to use that type of thing very often, did you?

Only for friendly competitions.

(I'm a little jealous. . . I don't like fighting either, but since it's something that's needed, I can't just avoid it because I don't like it.)

So it's actually pretty lucky you remembered anything at all. I bet a lot of people from places like where you're from wouldn't even have that much.

*nods* It's doubtful, yes. I think I originally did it because of a series of books I read as a child. I suspect it's come in handy while chasing... *glances at Mits*

At home. But either way, it's something I can build on here, I hope. ...we can practice together again, if you like.

One can only hope. I doubt they could go much worse.

Well, you were coming down with something last time, and you didn't have any memories or experience at all. . .

(Considering how much he gets in trouble anyway, maybe he should work on that skill more, too)

That wasn't what we practicing, though.
