What:

[So, if you've been gone for a whole day, working to gather materials for the potentially insane idea that you had regarding trapping and lizards, the first stop you might make is the bathhouse. Where, presumably, since it is really early morning, you'd be free to bathe in the peace and quiet you'd desire. Right?

Of course, if you did that, then you'd probably get a naked seventeen year old girl who just really wants a bath barging in on you. Totally not awkward at all.]

	The wood from those mushroom tree things might already be waterproof. There's clay, too, from the lake and river… And if those wouldn't work, I bet we could get somethin' from the black team. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	If we coated the outside of the tub in the clay, filling in any cracks or holes, that would likely keep it from leaking. Perhaps a metal liner, for the base, so the whole thing doesn't catch fire... If we wished to, we could even add ledges within for seating. But how would you get the water to the tub? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Possibly, yes. A way to pump it though... And you'd want the pipes to be fairly temporary or else with a shut-off, or else it would overflow the tub. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Air pressure? It'd mean designing and building another thing, but as long as we have the materials, it's not like we wouldn't be able to find the time. It really makes perfect sense, and is simplistic enough to not require any knowledge of such things. And if there is a short ledge, or perhaps we can make wooden stools waterproof enough to set inside, everyone would be able to sit while bathing.

How to drain it once the bath is done though? Tipping it over would just create a mess in the dorm, and that much water would be too heavy to carry anywhere.

	Let's go with the stools. They'd be easier to fiddle with, and in a pinch they could be used for other things, too. [Hmmm...] Drainage pipe with a plug? Then we could siphon the water off bit by bit, and use it for laundry and gardens and stuff. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Leakage might be a problem, but I'm sure there are ways to resolve that. We'd want some way to stopper the water both at the tub and at the end of the pipe, though, or else we'll spend as much of the bath filling the pipe as filling the tub.
