Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:!days 150-159, lelouch lamperouge, nabuca, watanuki kimihiro, yoi-te, {cara mason}, {chaz villette}, {jin kisaragi}, {red xiii/nanaki}

Who: Lyvus, anyone else
Where: Lynx dorms
When: Day 152, evening
What: Cooking fuck yeahhhh!

[there is an ACTUALLY PALATABLE/ENTICING SMELL coming from the Lynx kitchens tonight! Lelouch's first memory has apparently been How To Housewife, so he's made dinner—pan-fried uglyfish with a batter made from rations!grains, water, and chives that he liberated from the lakeside]

[as for Lulu himself, he's wearing an apron made from sacrificing Rory's bedsheets (it's not like he's using them), and wielding a spatula like a scepter—bitches better listen up]

We need to make a plan for hunting and gathering—anybody that's regained memories useful to that effect, let's discuss. Dagger, you said you can start on the garden, and I think I can help you with that. Everybody else, if you bring any gathered plants back to me, I can tell you whether they're useful for eating or not . . .

[he looks a little happy \o/]

We can set it aside for now, and just keep an eye on it to make sure no one cooks it accidentally.

...it might be best to strip it clean right away instead of risking it... it'll also be bad if it rots. I can do that.

You'd better do it then. I'm not sure how well I can handle a knife.

Okay. Do we have something we can dispose of the flesh and organs in? And put that into the garbage area.

I don't think so. Maybe we should do it there to begin with.

Good point.

[flips his knife out of somewhere in his uniform and takes the dead lizard outside.]

[fairly obviously hasn't really done this before, but his hands are sure as he slices it open anyway. Skinning it... does not go as well! He is able to salvage some fair strips but a lot of the skin is ruined. He just tosses the ruined strips out and works on carefully scraping extra flesh from the skin on the salvageable parts. Mostly in silence, unless spoken to.]

I think you're doing better than I would be.

You probably have steady hands.

[Pins the more salvageable strips down under some rocks to stretch them out after the worst of the flesh is off.]

[eyes the skinned corpse and gets to work tearing bones free, with liberal use of the knife.]

That's true, I might. Maybe I'll try it next time.

If you want to, you can help clean the bones. But only if you want to. I'm already messy.

[Has broken it down into main 'parts' and is working on scraping meat away from the bones.]

It'll be good practice. [sits down next to him and picks up a bit to work on]

[nods. Just working away at this, trying to scrape the meat clean without damaging any of the bones, then laying them out to dry.]
