You're still making excuses for him.

*ssshrugs*

He's a friend of mine, of course I'll defend him. I'm not saying what happened wasn't wrong -- Chaz'll admit that himself -- but I don't think anyone can say they've never changed someone in Persona's games, unless they've never played.

What he did wasn't changing. It was taking a memory that wasn't his to take, when he knew exactly what it was. From someone who'd rather die himself than see trespassers hurt. And then keeping what he stole long past any time you could call a mistake.

There's no defense for actions like that.

The only difference between changing something and taking it is that in the second case, the change can be undone cleanly. Not all that easily -- I didn't remember the right way to do it until a few days ago, and I doubt there's another mage or telepath here who could have done what I just did. I seriously doubt he knew it was a memory until well after the game was over, at which point his options were...what? Ask me to experiment with something I wasn't sure of until my last memory? Call the Judge and risk doing more damage by accident?

He should have told Almaz earlier, I'll certainly give you that. But don't attribute to malice what circumstance explains.

Every memory touched in Almaz's heart showed itself for what it was.

He knew what it was.

Like I said, I've never been inside his heart. If so, he's the only one I've heard of whose memories manifest so reliably. But I can see you've made up your mind.
