[Speaking of skinny boy(?)s wandering around outside the Corvus/Lynx area -- a fairly tall and unhealthily-thin young man has exited the Corvus dorms and is looking around in some confusion. He looks very pale -- especially in brilliantly-coloured Corvus uniform -- and not very healthy. Visible on his bare neck is a long scar along his neck, as if cut with a knife some years ago, and his bare hands are covered in strange black smoky patches.

He looks quite lost, and more wary to see others than relieved]

Nobody has memories. We engage in games to get them back... games are run by 'Judges'. Nobody knows their motivation. Games have a huge variety of shapes and goals and can't really be predicted, but they tend to be cruel. There are fourteen regular teams and the black team, who work for the Judges. We all have assigned colours. Ours are the newest teams, only just filling up. Teams are to be treated as "family". Daily life can be tiresome and full of terrible choices.

Rules... No punching walls. No trading food or other things with teams except your partner team. No sleeping with other teams except your partner team. Don't sacrifice yourself in a game. Don't go to the pillar without a member of the black team. Another last rule I'm supposed to ask you about. I'm supposed to ask you about the pillar as well. You're Corvus's leader.

[Nothing wrong with his memory, anyway. ...But he seems much more tired all of a sudden after saying that much]
