Ah, Allen, my boy! I always hear you~

Is that so? I'm flattered.

You ought to be~. You didn't even offer me a gift. Oh, I know, you're probably not in the mood for gifts right now, and I do understand, but there's never anything wrong with being courteous, you know.

I didn't know you were partial to gifts. An offering for a god, is it?

Oh, aren't we all? You like gifts yourself, do you not? Receiving and giving them.

What kind of tribute would you want? For next time. Sacrificing lizards? Or maybe a game of solitaire in your name?

The sound of cards gets my attention quite well, you'll find~

[takes his deck out of his bag, and shuffles the cards from one hand to another, not bothering to step away from the cliff]

If I have your attention, then may I ask you a question?

If that was entirely a penalty game, why did you say my name, instead of Razzy's?

Your Razzy is not nearly as interesting as you are.

. . .

[while he talks he performs a few shuffling tricks, not in a flashy manner, but it's all effortless]

King told us himself how he wants us to fight in games, and we've seen enough people hit with a penalty. It's a good smokescreen. And maybe we really were due to be made an example of, since I seriously doubt you'd bother lying.

But that wasn't why you wanted to put me and my team in that game, was it? It was me.

[swallows]

My team. . . is tribute what it would take? I'll gladly take on challenges and give you something interesting to bet on. But if that gets the others targeted. . .

[ssssssssssssssssssslap, all cards from one hand to another, his poker face is solid and yet]

Shouldn't it be good luck to have the attention of a gambling god?

What are you offering, exactly, my boy?

I mostly wanted to confirm that it wasn't just Razzy's fault that it was us. As for what I can offer, I don't know what a Blank can offer a Judge. A deal with a scientist is more clear-cut, but a gambler wants a game, right?

If I'm going to be your target anyway. . .

I could always play poker with you. I can't imagine Soldier is a good opponent. Well, since you're a Judge you'll always have the advantage, so I don't know how appealing that offer is. But I could play more games with others, too. It would be more fun to watch a crowd that had a hobby you could bet on.

Intriguing, my boy, very intriguing. It's almost too bad you are not an Ophiuchus.

I will consider your offer. Even having the advantage doesn't make the game guaranteed~
