Then memories would make sense as the reward for the games.

That's how it works, yes. You catch on fast.

Of course I do. It would be dangerous not to.

Mmm, that's true.

My name is Quartz, from Monoceros.

[Gives him a bit of a smile because it's fine being less of a stiff around a kid.]

It's nice to meet you, Quartz. I am still pondering a name however.

Names are a bit hard to come up with without memories. I'd suggest asking someone if you can't think of anything yourself.

[Pause.]

Do you happen to know what those tubes were made of? The ones with the message?

Ah . . . brass, maybe?

Brass, huh? [Ponders that name. It did resemble like the melty armor the other him had been wearing.]

How long have you been here Quartz?

Twenty-one days.

You seem to have adjusted well in that short amount of time.

Ah, I have a good team and partner team. And things happen quickly enough sometimes that getting used to things as quickly as possible is probably for the best if you want to keep your head.

How quickly have things been happening?

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]onetruth

It varies . . . sometimes things are quiet, sometimes it's a couple of days of games and other things.

How often do the games happen?

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]onetruth
2010-07-05 07:03 am UTC (link)
That varies too. We don't know they're happening until the Judges call us to the Arena.

All right. How many games have happened since you arrived?

Five or six? I came late to a few of them.

That many games in twenty one days? That's fairly often.

What happens when you miss a game?
