* you head down the RIGHT tunnel.

as you go along you find more traces of passage on the walls and ground; the air seems to get more humid as you go along, and there's a slightly acrid odour tickling your nostrils. Luminscent moss grows in patches on the stone. The only sounds you hear for a while are your own and the faint dripping of moisture in the distance.

though eventually you pick up a faint scuffing sound ahead, like footsteps. *

* after settling the new development, you carry on, the tracks wending their way past a few nondescript turns and junctions.

The moisture in the air seems heavier, the cave walls warmer and damp to the touch. The acrid smell seems to be turning from a mere tickle of your olfactory senses to an increasingly nasty odour; if it lies in your memory, you start to think of rotten eggs.

You come to another large fork.

The tracks seem to be pretty vague at this point. The odour seems to waft from the left tunnel, along with a damp heat; the right seems cooler in comparison, and less offensive to your noses.

Right/Left? *
