Contrary to the sadistic thoughts Kurogane probably thought Fay was having, the vampire really was trying his hardest to be gentle and not draw any blood, but Kurogane had just moved, and he had slipped. "Ah!" He freezes, nails retracting. "You startled me!" As though to soothe the wound (although the antiseptic would be anything but) Fay quickly pressed the damp cloth to Kurogane's side, smothering the smell of blood with that of strong alcohol. "Eheh." He did his best to look apologetic, even if it had totally been Kurogane's fault (at least that was his story and he was sticking to it.)
Funnily enough, the sudden flash of the metallic scent was a quick reminder that Fay hadn't eaten anything since breakfast. He found himself hoping his stomach didn't rumble.
