“Just so he could get published,” Edan teased, smiling because he was smiling. He had no idea what that smile was like did he? Before he could get too far she reached out, catching his shirt and almost pulling him back. It wasn’t that much of a tug, but more the natural pull of holding him while he pulled back. “What kind of terrible things?”
He was surprised at her reaching out to hold him there, particularly with her choice of methods, but it worked, for the moment. He watched her eyes, and was thinking to himself that keeping farther back from her was a much better idea, and he should stick with that. "Terrible things that shouldn't happen. Leave it at that." he told her, wondering if she would or not.
“Just tell me Ash,” Edan demanded. “If it was so terrible, I might actually understand. I can wish you hadn’t done it, but maybe I can see where you head is at.”
